Requiem for the Warriors

Far away in the land of mist
Mighty they rode with their heads high
Weary feet they tightened their fist
And rode their ferocious stallions up to the sky

The hardened warrior's memories of the delicate man
Of his mother's love and the lover's embrace
And the lonely roads where it all began
The reminiscence of past would indeed offer solace

As the thunderous clouds upon them fell
The lighting blared in their hands
For indomitable souls roared from heaven & hell
Lost, forgotten lay beneath the gritty sands

"O brother" cried the wounded battler in agony
"I'm free but you are still chained"
And touched the ground ebony
Like the morningbirds untamed

The mourning sky wept blood
And spread their wings, the flightless birds
To be swept away by the quietus flood
Obscured like the unspoken words

But far away in the misty land
Treachery and darkness reigns
Lost,forgotten above the reticent sand
Nothing but the mist remains

Far away in the misty land
Nothing but the mist remains.
